THE WHOLE MOB
115CM X 55CM, MIXED MEDIA ON BELGIAN LINEN
One morning the garden seemed transformed, a surreal gathering, a surreal camp and meeting place, floating through the green of nature. I smiled: my ancestors have arrived, the sight warming my heart. The underlying magenta supporting our heart connection through lifetimes.
I used to live outside of Broome, in a rural area, on a mango farm. I used to sell honey from our bees, citrus fruit and other tropical fruit at the local market every Saturday.
My life was not that long ago very different to my life now.
It was on a foggy, steamy morning, when the air seems to be watery and nearly not breathable that I looked down from our veranda and had to smile: the fog hanging between our mango trees looked like a camp had appeared, tents had been erected and the whole mob had come to visit.
