Personalised art tuition that gives you the space to express yourself and push boundaries
One-on-one art coaching – in person or online – allows a deeper creative practice, free from the self-consciousness of group art classes.
In a safe space, you can freely be yourself and express your emotions through art and colour.
Why create with Kirana?
I paint daily. And I am always learning and developing my own art practice, which I love sharing with creatively curious people.
I am here to walk with you, to listen and hold space for you to make your creative wishes real. I tune in to see where you are at, where you want to be and where you can be as an artist. This helps guide our creative journey together.
As we work, I will challenge you when limitations or blockages come up. I’ll offer insights and new techniques so you can create artworks beyond what you imagine.
Are you ready to challenge yourself creatively?
Who are private art lessons for?
I work with people of all creative levels and ages, from 5 years old to adults.
Whether you’re a beginner, a hobbyist or an exhibiting artist who wants to grow in confidence, to broaden your influences and expertise, I’ll cater to your needs.
You can choose to do art lessons online or in person at my Balmain studio in Sydney’s inner west.
What to expect in our art lessons
I prefer an intuitive, unstructured approach to art coaching, so there’s no course outline, schedules or time limits. We don’t have to talk either – this is your time and space to be still, to listen, then express and create.
You can do as much or as little as you wish in a session – whether that’s one brush stroke, or filling an entire canvas! My role is to guide you, to give your inspiration direction and the support to achieve it. You are held by me in your creative process, however that unfolds.
You don’t have to commit to a minimum or maximum number of lessons. You create at your own pace and at times that fit your lifestyle.
What’s included:
– All art materials – canvas, paints, brushes, inks and other colourful media (materials also supplied for online art lessons if you’re in Sydney)
– Safe, inspiring surroundings
– My experience, encouragement and nurturing
– Art reference books if you need them
– Bottomless cups of tea!
– All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a willingness to push past your comfort zone to create!
Why not try a one-off art lesson to see how we can work together?
“Kirana helped me get exactly where I wanted to be: I have moved away from my studies of how to be an artist in a particular form to being the artist I truly am – just myself. I now feel confident and strong in my own expression. That makes me extremely happy and fulfilled.”
