A Journey Through Colour and Joy
As I write this, I find myself surrounded by the vibrant awakening of Spring in Balmain. Everything is beginning to blossom, and I can't help but feel swept up in the excitement—the hope and joy that comes with the season's burst of colour. At the same time, I’m immersed in the process of hanging my new artworks, a task that requires patience, experimentation, and a keen eye for detail.
My hope is that while in the physical process of arranging and displaying my work, I've managed to capture and convey my feelings of hope, joy, love, and light. I wish that these emotions resonate with you when you view my paintings, and speak clearly through my language of colour.
As you engage with the titles, blurbs, and words I will share during my speech, I hope they inspire and encourage you. The opening of an exhibition feels to me like the crescendo of a classical piece of music—cathartic, beautiful, and designed to fill and open our hearts before gently carrying us back to quieter, calmer places.
I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing all your faces, to welcoming you with open arms, and to celebrating beauty, colour, and life together.
