The colours of Australia and what they mean to me
It is with great gratitude that I have realised this week I am living in Australia for now 28 years! This move from Germany has changed my life enormously and in such tremendous ways.
Staying within this feeling which embraces so much, I have started painting a new artwork. It is full of greens, full of hope and the feeling of wide-open spaces, room to breathe and enormous natural beauty. Of course, it is also filled with the blues of our wonderfully vast sky and all the shades of turquoises fascinating me in our oceans. With the help of light and sunshine, which is always of great significance, the colours become lively and vibrant. Also not to forget the smaller amounts of red and pink, so often that colour of love and an open heart joins in.
Parallel to these moving inner events in my life, it has been a month full of excitement and events with you, my beautiful community: a very lively and joyful art retreat, the next one planned and partially booked for July, a new evening art class, the annual Student Exhibition coming up in May and not to forget my VERNISSAGE this weekend. I am super excited and look very much forward to seeing many of you there.
If you would like more information for any of the above or would just love to have a tea and a chat or time to see my artworks, please keep reading below or contact me.
With lots of love,
Kirana xx
